You Know I Can Use Somebody, Someone Like You

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  Even though we don't do Halloween here in Turkey, it would be so fun to dress up in spooky costumes and do weird things and not feeling like a freak. How we celebrate the Halloween is by going to costumed parties in clubs and stuff, and I don't like to go out that often, so I think I'll just play trick or treat with my cats…
As you may have read on my previous post that it was our Republic Day two days ago, and while in the demonstrations, one of my friends got beaten brutally on the streets and taken by the policemen for interrogation. The only thing that he has done was not backing away when the police pushed him, and helped someone with a camera (some guy was trying to film how violent the police was acting towards the citizens, and the police wanted to get their hands on the camera so they first went after that poor guy) and then they went on him like some wild animals. There were only five people between us when that happened, it could have been me very easily, and I was completely shocked and terrified. It hit me so much because I actually know the victim, but how about the ones who died in the Gezi Protests? I have no words for this really, I've lost my trust to my police and to my safety long ago.

MUTLU CADILAR BAYRAMI!

  2. Oh gosh, that sounds really sad! The police shouldn't be like that, you should actually trust them and be happy they'll help you but as it looks, it's not like that in Turkey. I hope your friend gets better soon though!! And you look lovely, as always :)

  6. First of all, you look absolutely gorgeous! I also must say that i'm impressed how you managed to keep your life in balance. It sounds like the time has been difficult in your country. It's so sad to hear about your friend who got beaten up. But i do admire your decisions to take action instead of just sitting around, it's the least you can do to change the world. Hope things will get better there and soon! take care Eda!

    1. Thank you so much! It was always bad, but people simply didn't care because it wasn't so obvious, but now things are really out of hands… Thank you so much, I must thank my mom for that, she is a great inspiration in that sense. :))
